On June 2, 2018 I will be participating in the Dirty Kanza 200. It is one of the top endurance gravel events in the world. I am incredibly honored to be toeing the line and competing alongside world-class athletes, who also hope to "race the sun" and cross the finish line in Emporia, KS. For Maggie, and I, it is much more than setting a record, or completing such a daunting event...... it is about showing that when life challenges you and you dig down real deep to face that challenge, with the right care, support, and attitude, you can do a whole lot more than you ever thought you were capable of.
So come to find out, there are actually 206 miles in this event and we are asking our closest family, friends, and loved ones to grab a mile....We are asking for a suggested $50 per mile to reach our goal of $10,000; but, we TRULY appreciate any amount towards this cause!!! All dollars earned will go to Project 4titude and will be dispersed to both Carcinoid Cancer Research, as well as, families in need.
I can absolutely assure you that each of these grueling 206 Kansas, back-road miles, will be fought for and most definitely will be earned! And your support and contributions will help us to achieve our 1st goal as an organization of $10,000 and help fund Carcinoid Cancer Research and families/family in need of that extra push.
On that June 2, 2018 I will have a LOT of time on the bike and I will be thinking of each of you that has contributed/sponsored a mile or wished me luck as I KEEP PUSHING 4WARD across the gravel roads in the Flint Hills of Kansas!!!
